I’ve been listening to a lot of Good Luck Varsity lately, and most of the guys in the group have had tattoos done by the wonderful Kevin Jarvis. Went on his site, saw his painting of this and fell in love with it. No story behind it for now, I just had to have it.
My wonderful umbrella, how I love you.

This picture was taken straight after it was done so it’s a bit bloody still
I got this done at Cult Classic Tattoo in Romford Essex by Lee Knight this is my third tattoo done by him and every time i go i always come out with something i love :)

This is my Hank The Wonder Years pigeon with the lyrics “Small Town Minds Stay Small” around it from the song Dynamite Shovel by The Wonder Years. Done by Mark Matthews of Bullet’s Ink in MT. AIRY, MD!
I decided to get this one for 2 main reason.
Hank the pigeon stands for sticking around even when no one wants you there simply because you know you have a real purpose for being where you are, just as pigeons in a city. I decided on the lyric “Small town minds stay small” because I feel that no one should be close minded today.
Thanks again to Mark Matthews of BULLET’S INK of Mt. Airy, Maryland.

I got this tattoo a few weeks ago on my left forearm. Inspiration from Siddhartha written by Hermann Hesse.
Done by David Heydn from IAMtattoos in Hampton, VA.

My brother’s owl. Done by Scott Milyanovich at Tattoo Paradise in Adam’s Morgan, DC.
love the clean lines!

This is the first large tattoo I got, it’s done by the insanely talented Myles Karr over at Three Kings tattoo in Brooklyn, NY. I had a very basic sketch I found years ago, done by the brother of one of the members of Of Montreal. It was basically a bird with wings that turned into branches, and a beak that turned into a trumpet flower. I loved it, but never new how to execute it properly. When I stumbled across Myles and his style, I instantly knew I wanted him to design something for me, and he came up with this gem. It takes up the entire upper inside of my left arm, and because I’m so pale the colors are still as vibrant as the day I got it. I love it to death.

This is my half sleeve of the northern lights. The tattoo idea has been in my mind for over two years. I wanted to get a tattoo as a tribute to my mother. I tried to think of something that was as unique and as beautiful as my mother. Then it struck me. When I was young I road tripped from Michigan to New York City with my mom and on the way we cut through Canada. While driving we could see the northern lights all night. This was the only time I’ve seen the northern lights in person. It’s one of the most unique and beautiful things in the world, just like my mom.
The tattoo was worked on by two artists. The majority of the work was done by Jason Rhodes at Intricate Decor in Mt. Pleasant MI. He is one of the nicest people I know and one of the most amazing tattoo artists I have ever met. His work stands up to any famous tattoo artist there is. I would recommend him to anyone and would trust him with any tattoos I may get in the future.

my left tattoo says “make that change” as a reminder to keep going when things get bad and for my struggle with my e.d. my right tattoo is for my mother because i love her far too much. the “m” represents mama in my native language.
